Yes, I saw the Simpsons Game of Thrones opening, and yes, I loved it!

Cops in Virginia are trying a brand new thing with drug dealers called Drug Market Intervention. They’re starting to realize that arresting dealers 1) only puts more poor people in jail, 2) is semi-pointless because those drug dealers can and will be replaced tomorrow and 3) fosters distrust of the cops in poor communities. So instead, they invite the drug dealers to a meeting and offer to help them get out of the life, rather than arrest them. I’m not sure exactly how it’ll work, but I at least appreciate that the cops are trying something different.

And on a different note, I was beyond excited to see my former burlesque dance teacher on The Daily What yesterday. Michelle L’Amour is a heart stoppingly amazing teacher, dancer, and all around badass, and she used to make her ass do this in class on a regular. Enjoy.
