People are terrible, but they’ve always been terrible. Having a story about how “trolls are ruining Adele’s post-giving birth glow” because some people tweeted shitty stuff at her is ridiculous. These people were saying bullshit to celebrities before Twitter, but suddenly now their brainfarts earn a story? Come on, son. Let’s be better than that.

I appreciate that Taylor Swift doesn’t bug as majorly as Katy Perry, but she still bugs. I’m not into her “i’m just a lil ol girl next door schtick,” her whole narrative of her against the meanies. I’m glad young girls can listen to someone who is not a raging skankmobile and whose identity is carved around more than how many guys (and girls) she can pull, but there’s got to be something better. I’m making my daughter learn to love Bikini Kill.
