I’m 25 and I’ve started realizing porn isn’t so great. I wish I could say it was exploitation or some outside force enlightening me, but no. It just has a destructive long-term effect on sexual health. I’ve had a live-in girlfriend break up with me over her zero-porn policy. I’ve had some decreased interest and sensitivity with my current girlfriend from watching too much porn lately. In my bubble, porn is such a seemingly benign way to kill 20 minutes. But it’s had a negative enough effect interpersonally to want to stop.
I deleted all porn of my hard drives and I go to a tube site a few times a week now instead of viewing clips several times a day. I was disappointed that you revealed the smoke and mirrors framing some popular porn stars, it’s the adult version of realizing the Tooth Fairy wasn’t real.
Some were sort of repulsing without makep, but someone like Dani Daniels makes me sad. She looks like a girl I’d get nervous to ask out because she’s so cute, but her porn star persona erases her essence.
